Texas Coast Girl –
This is a metal frame with flexible acrylic sheeting. This is basically a visual barrier for pets that don’t try to get out.
The acrylic sheets do not extend all the way to the frame leaving a gap. The acrylic is flexible and can easily be pushed outward and bends enough I worry about a pets foot getting trapped in between the acrylic and frame.
I was hoping to use this for travel for my tortoise but he’s too rough for it.
When he sees me he wants to chase me around and play similar to a dog, that is what we do at home but not so easy when traveling.
He’s nearly 70 pounds and so strong when so sit in a patio chair he moves me all over the deck. He’s only 4 and has a ton of growing to do still.
The “door” is simply one of the acrylic sheets with 2 latches that allow it to open and close. The frame remains in place and doesn’t open and close, only the acrylic moves.
If you have a pet that’ll just sit and not jump on cage walls or try to get out, this is a nice looking cage that’s portable.
